The sky began to fill with cracks of bright, yet ebony light. Falling, falling.... more particles seem to flow out from these gaps than before, collecting in large numbers and consuming the world around them. The threat continues to grow. Those brave enough to have fought the spirits before were consumed by darkness, sent to a world that can no longer be reached. The precipice world is no longer accessible via a Senkaimon Gate, or Garganta, or whatever other method to travel from realm to realm. The danai is now home to a complex distortion, mass of the dangai walls forming into spirits as they disperse again and quickly disappear. The outside worlds are in turmoil; large towers began to erect from different areas across the three realms, attacking people, souls and hollows nearby. These towering structures seem to be be composed of the same material of the spirits and possess nearly the same abilities.
A new wave of spirits may come, perhaps stronger than the first wave... the source of these creatures... they must be destroyed.
Those in the dangai world... there is something within, something omnipresent and at the same time, off in the distance. Not to worry, due to what has happened, time has begun travelling at equal pace to that of the outside world... so no training! Locate the source!

Toshiro Hitsugaya, Captain of the tenth squad, arrived on scene. Karakura Town, not his normal patrol area, but certainly one he was more than familiar with. The epicenter of spiritual activity in Japan, in these short years it had been since the introduction of Ichigo.
Toshiro let out a sigh as he arrived in the human world. Along with him was one of his squad members, a newer member at that, but seemingly that was all he was able to round up, who wasn’t busy with current activities elsewhere. These reports of spirits and odd happening around both the spiritual and non-spiritual world were starting to get out of hand, so much so that various captains had been assigned duties to see that it was stopped as quickly as possible.
“Tell me.” Toshiro spoke addressing Fuu that were present.
“What has our intel told us that might be useful before we charge forward recklessly?" Toshiro said little emotion in his voice.
Having a plan before charging the towers, or tower like objects that the Intel had reported seemed to be foolish. Toshiro was a man of planning and strategy and he expected the same from his team and squad members, they would need to listen and work together to take down this, or any threat.
Toshiro looked in the distance the chaotic storm like atmosphere and the large tip of the tower their intended target and although time was of the essence having a strategy of attack and an assessment of their skills was certainly needed to face this threat. "We don't know much sadly... We do know they're very powerful and seem to have the ability to regenerate from almost any wound that you can think of. From the reports that Komamaru Taicho gave, it seems we need to make sure their entire bodies are obliterated and nothing remains. If even the smallest bit remains they can regenerate, and they seem to come back even stronger from before. They also seem to all possess various abilities of their own not unique to any specific race, I think they are an acclamation of all the spiritual abilities combined. They can use Shinigami and Hollow abilities I believe, and they may even possess the abilities of the Quincy. If I had to guess, I'd say that we're dealing with something far stronger than any hollow we've ever fought before."
She said, everything she could think of from the reports she'd... 'read'. Though her eyes were open, Fuurinji couldn't see... But she told nobody of this as it was only recently she lost her sight. Not even Toshiro, her Commanding Officer, knew that she'd lost her sight... Though he also didn't know she had attained Bankai yet... Nobody did.
"My suggested course of action is that we try to get one alone if possible and examine it's combat capabilities for ourselves, and proceed with extreme caution. If we get surrounded, the best course of action would be to retreat as quickly as possible. Civilian casualty is a high probability as well... Assuming any are still alive."
She said, keeping all emotion from her voice as she kept her attention on the upcoming fight at hand.
Name: Overwhelming Power Class: CONSTANT RELEASE BUFF Tier: -- Type: Passive Range: Self Description:This buff is an incomplete cap left on the compression of power, causing for explosive torrents of reiatsu to surge around the user. This form of ability causes reiatsu sensing abilities to scramble when in the presence of the user, and also gives their overall speed and strength a 2x boost [not affecting steps]. The primary perk of this form is that it allows the user to practically use their overflowing reiryoku as a weapon. Most commonly found as waves of energy with the swing or focus of the Shikai of varying power, along with an increase in pressure by 50%.
Name: Fuujin Ittai (風人一体) Class: Release Tier: II Type: Passive Range: Self Description:Fuujin Ittai is the symbol of what being one with the wind can truly mean. Because of her bond with not only the wind around her, but with her Zanpakuto itself, All of Fumiri's attacks, Whether they be projectile or otherwise, glide as one with the wind. Because of this, none of Fumiri's attacks, steps or even the subtlest of movements cause any sound or disturbance in or around where she is.
Name: Flow Detection Class: Release Tier: III Type: Support Range: 30m (Duration: 6/Cooldown: --) Description: Fuurinji's zanpakuto allows her to literally read the flow of air with such astounding clarity that it was as if she were reading lines from a book. This skill thus gives her a heightened sense of awareness of her immediate area to a point where she can detect almost anyone and anything with ease, given that there is air present. As such, even moderately powerful abilities which mask presences are rendered wholly ineffective (as long as this technique has the advantage over the opponent's technique/s) for while her visual and auditory senses may fail her, Fuurinji's reinforced perception never will.

@daddygrin
The sound of American hip-hop pounded in his ears as he walked down the street with his hands in his pockets. He donned a black t-shirt and a pair of grey jeans. On his feet he had a pair of black Jordan 1s, which were probably not very common in this area. His long black hair was in a ponytail ending at his lower back, with long bangs in his face hiding his golden pupils from the rest of the world.
Jean really took no notice of his surroundings as he walked, that was until he realized a few people around him was looking up to the sky in amazement and wonder.
What's going on? He wondered.
He turned his head upward and his bangs fell back exposing his the full features of his face. He watched as the sky above him seemed to be cracking and releasing a soft yet dark glow. It seemed beautiful, yet unnatural and strange. Something about this gave Jean a bad feeling and he wasn't quite sure he wanted to be caught up in all this.
The young lad removed his hands from his pockets, pulling his earbuds from his ears he rolled them up neatly and put them away. He reverted his gaze from the sky and once again looked around for the closest building he could find for cover. To his right he spotted a building and began to quickly make his way there, nut to his dismay the ground began to tremble and he fell to his knees. Somehow, he knew this had something to do with the cracks in the sky.
Why does this always happen to me?
He quickly got his feet with a grunt and once again the ground shook, though this time it was worse and the ground began to crack and split as well.
"SERIOUSLY?!"
Jean quickly turned the opposite way and began to run as the tremors began to worsen. And to make matters worse, he caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye. He glanced to his left to see a large towering figure suddenly in the middle of the road. The mere sight of it brought Jean to a stop. Which was a bad move as the crack caught up and the ground disappeared beneath his feet.
"Damn it, no!"
He reached out with both hands, just barely managing to grab onto the edge of the precipice he was about to fall into. He held on as tightly as he could and pulled himself up. He rolled himself away from the edge and laid on his back panting for breath.
"Where was Lillith when you needed her?" he said out loud to himself.
After laying there for a bit he stood to his feet and began to move again, though he wasn't quite sure where was currently safe in this mess.
While Grindal did originally hear that there was a lot of spiritual activity within Karakura Town, never in his wildest imaginations would had thought that this would be occurring. A simple afternoon of idly sipping on a tea while getting caught up on his latest novel had turned into a chaos outside as the sky went dark and the people began gawking at the rapidly changing atmosphere. Then came the cracks. Frankly, it was unlike anything the Quincy had ever heard about before. That in itself piped up his interest. Though he probably should have observed things from afar, his curiosity got the best of him in this situation. Before he knew it, he was geared up and darting down the city streets as he ran towards what he thought was the source.
This was a difficult task in itself as people began to panic. They were making a fool of themselves as they ran as far away as they could. Eventually, he had to shift towards the side just to get away from their stampede. Traveling by foot certainly wasn’t going to be the best course of action. There were just too many folks in his way. So, guess that only left one option: getting up top. Making his way into an alley way, a quick bullet from one of his reishi guns knocked down ladder from a fire escape. After ascending that, the stairs were a cake walk as he bolted as fast as he could to the roof. That’s when he saw it and literally froze, shivers already descending down his spine.
Though it was a bit further down within the city stood a very large mass that he guessed had emerged from the breaches in the sky. It was huge, scaling over many of the high-rises of downtown. Of course it had to destroy the part of town that he had grown the most familiar with over the last few months since his transplant here. But, of course, such thinking was rude. He knew with his favorite donut shop and sushi restaurant, countless lives were taken away. Frankly, he wasn’t quite sure what to do here. How could he even try to kill that thing? He doubted it would fall to a couple reishi bullets. “What to do…” he muttered as he continued his slow approach.

“That sounds as good of a plan as we are going to be able to come up with.” Toshiro said as he looked in the distance to the tower rising high into the sky. The sky itself was tearing and cracking amongst the storm like eerie feeling outside.
“I would imagine if we want to come in contact with some there is a high chance they’ll be around protecting their base, or whatever it is they consider that structure.” Toshiro said calmly as he pointed into the distance towards the massive tower.
All the information that Fuu had presented him with was the same as he was told earlier when assigned this mission. Although it was his hope he had missed something, or some other piece of information might have been rumored amongst various people it was not a surprise that nothing else was given.
“The chances of a retreat are low. If these creatures are as Komamaru speaks of I don’t we will have the opportunity to be so lucky to retreat. If surrounded we most likely will need to either fight them off or die trying.” Toshiro paused for a moment before speaking again.
“Prepare yourself for the worst possible outcome. For the outcome you don’t want to happen and we will both need to use that fear to fight to prevent it from happening. Because aside from the creature there are no reports on this tower itself and I’m sure it holds all its own secrets. When you are ready let us be off then.”
Toshiro would wait until Fuurinji gave her acknowledgement and would shunpo off into the direction of the tower, beginning to mentally prepare himself for any encounters along the way. And despite all of the spiritual energy flowing around Toshiro could make out two other signatures if not more of different origin though their distance and the massive amounts of unrestricted spiritual energy flowing around made it hard to distinguish exactly what they were. Were they friend or foe? Tag: FuurinjiJean Llewe Arpeggio @daddygrin
Fuurinji nodded to her Captain as he spoke, it was unfortunate that she wasn't able to uncover anything else... And the large tower in front of them was... unnerving to say the least. It seemed the tear between dimensions was growing almost too uncontrollable. But she soon gave him a nod that she was ready and took off to follow after him, though she did wonder...
"Taicho... If we fail... If the tear becomes too unstable and the Gotei can't contain it... What will Zero Division do? This tear will destabilize everything, shouldn't thy be just as concerned as we are? If we fail it's only a matter of time before this tear reaches the Soul King's Palace right?"
She was concerned about these beasts... She wasn't nearly as powerful as her Captain even with her Bankai, which she still hadn't told anyone about. If this threat was growing so vast, why did it seem like they weren't even phased by it? And what's more is she was wondering why Yamamoto himself wasn't joining in to help the fight against these things, everything just didn't seem right...
"Also... Why isn't Yamamoto Sotaicho helping in the fight? I remember reading that against Aizen he was right at the front of everything fighting alongside us... So why not now?"
She was simply concerned, she knew that the Sotaicho could easily destroy these things... So why wasn't he out here helping to stabilize the realms? Her Reiatsu Sensing wasn't as Keen as Toshiro's, her power of her gauntlets alone made it hard for her to sense anything outside of herself. It was one reason, she suspected, that she had become so well attuned with the wind... That she knew where things were around her. Though her Taicho's words unnerved her even further, she didn't wish to think of the possibility of failure... She didn't want to think of falling here. She'd trained so hard to get to the point she was at, she didn't want to fail her Sister here.

As he ran, he realized that people all around him were in a panic. He was simply trying to find some sort of safe haven, though he doubted there was such a place around currently. The enter town seemed to be crumbling and falling to pieces. Just the fact that he was still alive was amazing to him. Still though, he wondered what was causing all this to happen, and what the hell that big ass tower thing was?
As he ran through the back alleys he found a fire escape that had fallen loose. Or looked like it anyways. He quickly climbed the ladder and made his way up the stair portion of the fire escape and reaching to the rough. He wasn't sure why he came up here. It just seemed a more viable option than being swallowed whole by the ground.
As he made his way up to the top of the building he saw another person there. Though they didn't stay there too long as they began to leap across roof tops. "Wow, with all these tremors...you'd think he'd be more careful." Not being one to talk, Jean shrugged his shoulders and decided that following this guy was better than nothing and so began to tail him. Perhaps he knew where he was going, or somewhere a bit safer at least.
As he hurried along rooftops and made his approached towards the large tower that was destroying the poor town of Karakura, Grindal couldn’t help but feel like he was being followed. At first, he thought it was merely paranoia associated with the monstrous being a few kilometers away from him. But, it eventually made him come to a stop so he could peer behind him. It was only then that he saw the source of this sensation. It was a boy, probably too young to actually be considered a man, who seemed to follow him somewhat like a stray puppy. “Hey, what are you doing?” he called out to him in curiosity. “Its dangerous here. You need to be fleeing like everyone else.” His tone was stern, fatherly in its own inherit way. Guess that came from being a parent.
Even though he was very firm about keeping this kid safe, he innately knew that he probably should heed his own advice. This was quite a dangerous place right now. But, he wasn’t the type to just sit around and do nothing. Maybe the boy was similar in that regard. Honestly, at this point, any kind of help could be beneficial. Just as long as he didn’t have to save his ass time and time again. Or vice-versa. Not really waiting on him to answer, Grindal continued his advance, slowing his pace just tad to allow the other to catch up if he so choose.

“If we fail.” Toshiro said his tone icy and distant. “If we fail and Squad Zero is called in, they will do whatever is necessary to stabilize the realms. You must trust me when I say they are just as worried as we are, however in any good military there are orders and hierarchies. We are the first line of defense the Gotei 13. It is our job to discover any useful information about this threat and deal with it as best we can. If we are unable to fulfill that goal next Sotaicho Yamamoto will take over. He will warrant if this is something he himself is able to deal with, though the chances are low if the entire Gotei 13 is exhaust.” Toshiro paused for a moment in his speech, as he looked forward, his eyes locked on the tower at hand, the tears in the sky the storm starting to brew among all of it.
“If we are all exhausted Squad Zero will be deployed, they will take any means necessary despite what it might mean to stabilize these realms, and if even that does not work, well then you know the rest of it.”
“You must have faith though in those you fight for else your doubt will effect each swing you take at the enemy. You need to believe in what you are fighting for and fuel yourself by remembering what or even who you are fighting to protect.”
“Now, we must be off. The time for questions like this has passed, we know our objective and we must make haste to try and diffuse the situation to the best of our abilities. Be vigilante and watch for anything that might be of key interest to our investigation and mission in general."
With those final words Toshiro broke into a shunpo headed in the direction of the tower, preparing himself for what might come. Things were certainly about to get interesting, though surely not in a positive manner. Whatever these creatures wanted needed to be stopped and it was unlikely that it would be an easy battle to do so. All the intel they had been presented, most coming from Captain Komomaru seemed to imply this would be a rather difficult and troubling battle, and with these towers, who knew what else might come to them. Only time would tell, but time certainly wasn’t something they had plenty of right now.
Fuurinji nodded to her Captain as he spoke, listening intently to each and every word. So it was that he answered all of her questions rather quickly, If they failed Yamamoto would step in... If he failed, the Zero Division would be deployed.... And if they failed... Everything was lost. His next few words, meant to be words of encouragement, made her freeze for a moment. Those... she fights to protect... In her head, four images flashed through her minds eye. Her Sister, Mother, Father... And Kuroda. If she was to protect them, she couldn't let her doubt or fear of failing blind her or stop her.
"Fuurinji... You must have faith, faith in us and your Captain. We will protect you until we die that is a promise! Came the soft voice of Soyokaze
"It's like the runt says Fuurinji, I ain't about to let these things kill you! Not after you worked so hard for our Bankai! Nothing here save for your Captain can withstands it's force as it currently is! So stop being so damned scared! If you're going to give up so easily after we allowed you to attain our Bankai then we might as well take it back! The voice of Kamikaze rung through her head.
She was right, she fought so hard for that Bankai... Did everything she could. She wouldn't allow these things to stop her! But it wasn't long after that Toshiro told her it was time to be off, and moving as fast as she could she followed his Shunpo to keep him within her vision range which was rather limited now. The time for talk, for doubt... Was over. The only thing left to do now, was defeat whatever came at her... No matter the cost!

"Hey, what are you doing?"
This drew Jean's attention. Clearly the man was talking to him as there was no one else around. What was he doing? That was a pretty good question, Jean wasn't too sure, he just following the man in front of him though he wasn't sure where this man was going either. He was saying it was dangerous, well that was a good observation, Jean would have thought that was obvious at this point.
He continued to follow the man who slowed down a tad, allowing Jean to catch up to him. "So, why aren't you going the same way as everybody else?" Jean asked out of curiosity. He just wanted to know why this guy was heading towards the tower. Hell Jean was wondering why he was heading towards this tower. He supposed since meeting Lillith, he just couldn't help but get himself involved in situations like these.
They made this somewhat boring life seem a little more worth it and interesting. That is hoping he didn't die somewhere along the way. that wouldn't be fun at all.
YOU KNOW IF YOU'RE GOING TO TURN TAIL AND RUN AWAY, I'D DO IT NOW.
As he continued along, getting closer and closer to the gigantic tower, his eye peered back at the kid. Rather than answering his question, he merely asked a question of his own. That in itself was a tad odd but he would go with it, for now. For all he knew, it could have been this child that started it all. Frankly, you never knew in this crazy spiritual world. "I'm going that way because I'm going to do my best to help. People are dying and I don't want their blood on my hands, especially when there might be a chance that I will be able do something to at least save a few." The answer was fairly simple, but it was the truth.
With the kid catching up to him, Grindal returned to his full speed and soon arrived a few hundred meters from the large thing. Craning his neck upwards, he eyed it was a combination of both fascination and horror. "You know if you're going to turn tail and run away, I'd do it now. You're still young and have quite a few more years on your life to enjoy. No sense in wasting your life when the grown ups can handle it," spoke the man as he gathered reishi to form into his signature weapons in both of his hands. They were a simple pair of energetic revolvers. While he didn't take aim with them or anything of the sort, his fingers tightly gripped their handles. Part of him truly wondered whether or not he should listen to his own advice.
'Well, guess we all have to die sometime, he thought, taking in a deep breath to prepare himself.
The top of the tower finally completely formed into the headpiece as if it were aware, had sight and felt everything around it. The minor souls of the people it grabbed with its extremities, and spirits, devouring them as they slowly struggle but sink into the body of the dangai tower. As it began to detect the presence of stronger souls approaching, the tower's body began to slowly change. Even more of the tentacle like extremities began to emerge from the body, forming jaw like pincers at the end of each one. There were four souls in total nearby that could be of potential threat to the towers. Each of the numerous jaws began charging energy aiming in every direction possible, nearby buildings, streets, and even those who have been approaching it slowly.
With a wicked roar, a barrage of cero like blasts would emit from each jaw, causing destruction to havoc all around. The endless malevolence inflicting as much grief as possible as if wanting to bring an end to all creation. In actuality, there was no reason, no instinct, drive or nature... the Dangai has done what it has always; purged. The Dangai Sweepers specifically created by the precipice world to purge all those who do not belong... the walls and floors of the realm created to ensure that nobody passing through can simply linger within. Those who are approaching will find that the barrage of energy blasts will not relent and do everything it can to defend itself from oncoming attacks. The base of the tower began generating more of the Dangai Spirits, albeit weaker versions of the originals, as a primary form of defense along the perimeter.
For the rest of this thread, a few special rules will apply. Cooldowns are reduced to one post. Rank does not apply toward advantages. Do not attack one another. If you want to approach this in a "solo" manner you may do so, as long as you follow posting order. After each round of posting, I will follow up with reactions to each person's post and attacks. Do note that it may take a little longer to reply to each of your actions individually. 24 hour rule has increased to 48 hours.
As the name implies, the towers hold a memory of every single encounter it has previously had, as well as stores new information. Each tower holds a percentage of the Central Hiveminds power and memory.
Dangai Malevolence
Upon its structure, the Dangai tower can spawn a large number of jaw like pincers attached to the main body, from which a torrent of energy beams equivalent to a hollow’s cero, travelling at the same speeds and at the same size. These barrages can come nearly endlessly, however, the longer they are being fired, the weaker they become, starting at Tier IV and decreasing a Tier level every post it is fired. It takes a post to recharge this attack by one tier level, maxing at Tier IV.

As Toshiro exited out of his shunpo he, and most likely Fuurinji, stood roughly fifty meters from the tower. It was massive in size towering higher than some of the surrounding buildings, or at least what was left of the buildings, some partially destroyed already, collapsing in on themselves.
The tower itself had gone through some kind of transformation as the top of the structure had changed, becoming more complete in a way, and below nearer to its base it appeared as though arm or tentacle like structure protruded all around, something from their previous distance Toshiro was unable to observe. It seemed as though the appendages were snatching up various people that were unable to get away from its grasps, ripping them from the ground and absorbing them into the tower itself. It was to say the least, disturbing.
Toshiro, as he was about to speak saw as the tower again began to mutate and change. Now large sets of jaws, pincers even were forming on the ends of these extremities, causing them to look even more gruesome, if possible, than they already were.
“Be careful, whatever this is we are still unsure of what it is capable of doing. What it might do and….” Toshiro stopped abruptly as a strong surge of energy came hurtling out from the jaws towards them, but it in fact wasn’t just towards them, it had seemed as though the jaw like formations had all launched these energy like blasts in all directions.
Toshiro quickly unsheathed his zanpakuto from his back, where it often rested when not used, the energy it exhorted seemed relatively low, similar to that of a cero from a hollow. Something Toshiro could easily deal with and with a swing of his zanpakuto Toshiro split the energy that was impeding on the two shingami in half, leaving them unharmed.
“It seems we need to be quick on the offensive and defensive.” Toshiro would say quickly before swinging his own zanpakuto unleashing a blast of spiritual pressure out towards the tower.
Fuurinji nodded to her Captain as he spoke, though when he was cut off so abruptly her ears perked up. Why had he stopped so suddenly? The simple fact that she made no reaction at all to the tower's changes and the beginnings of it's attacks, assuming Toshiro saw this, would be highly unusual in itself. She heard him unsheath his blade and shortly after, felt the attack that was coming at them. She was about to raise her hands, but shortly after her hands began moving she heard and felt his attack go off to negate it. 'What should I do... Should I unleash it right away?' She wondered, No... Not yet. But with his next few words that they would need to be quick on both she nodded and sighed softly.
"Very well, Hitsuguya Taicho." She said, raising her hands up to adopt a more aggressive stance. "If that's the case, then there's no sense in bothering to try and hold back. If we do that, they may have a chance to analyze us and figure out what we can do... Best to just go all-out from the start." With that, she took in a deep breath as the air around her began to be both pulled towards her, and circle her. Her own Reiatsu starting to spike very quickly, the strands of her Reiatsu lashing out wildly.
"BAN...KAI!"
The Reiatsu that pooled at her feet spiraled upwards rapidly as she was encased in a torrent of wind, it wasn't long before talons ripped through the tornado and an entirely new form was where Fuurinji once was.
"Sobou Furui Megami no Kaze! When we attack, Let us strike as one Captain!" With that said, she lashed out herself, raising her leg to fling a surge of Reiatsu equal to a tier 6 at the tower itself.
{Techniques in play} IMPORTANT NOTE: Overwhelming Power is apart of her Compressed Bankai. BM has approved the profile mod here however for some reason never added it. Name:Overwhelming power Type:Compressed Buff Benefit: This buff is an incomplete cap left on the compression of power, causing for explosive torrents of reiatsu to surge around the user. This form of ability causes reiatsu sensing abilities to scramble when in the presence of the user, and also gives their overall speed, and strength a 3x boost (not effecting steps). The prime perk of this form is to allow the wielder to release waves of energy with their sword swings of varying power (Power of each would be named on use) and increase the pressure of their reiatsu twofold.
Name: 天来風支配 - Tenraikaze Shihai (Divine Wind Domination) Class: Zanpakuto Spirit (Bankai) Tier: III Type: Passive Range: 50m Description: Tenraikaze Shihai was one of the first technique for Fuurinji to learn from her Bankai and it's the most basic principle for her fighting style. Brute force without Brute Force. Tenraikaze Shihai allows her complete domination over the wind itself, combining her Shikai technique; Flow Detection; with complete control over the wind within a 50m radius around her (centered on her). This means nothing that moves, whether it be a reishi arrow, kido or even a cero, is used without her immediately knowing about it. Only the strongest concealment techniques would be able to hide from her and even those would only make her unable to see them directly. Add to this it also allows her to whip the air itself around and use it as a weapon, attacks done by this deal tier 3 damage.

Running, yes he supposed such a thing was a viable option, but he'd never done such a cowardly thing in his entire life. If anything he felt more compelled to be here right now, as if this would be some deciding moment in his life. As they came to a stop Jean finally took a real good look at the tower before him. It was huge, like a sky scraper, though he wasn't so sure it was a tower anymore as it had suddenly spawned a head.
If that wasn't enough it started to grow appendage from its lower half. The gruesome sight before the boy was only interrupted by the screaming he heard causing him to look down only to see people being drawn into the large obstruction by the tentacle like limbs.
"We've got to he-" he was cut off as a bright light caught his attention from the corner of his eyes. He saw jaw like forms growing on the tower and charging some weird light. he wasn't quite sure what it was but Jean wasn't about to stick around and find out.
"We better split." He said as he instinctively reached out and tried to grab onto the man beside him before they disappeared into thin air. If Jean were to succeed both men would reappear several rooftops over to their right. "Well that was close."
He scanned the area to make sure there was no more immediate danger around, is eyes caught caught of an area about 50m or so ahead of them where the wind suddenly picked up wildly the suddenly dissipated. He could just barely make out two figures standing there. "Hmm, what's going on over there?"
{Techs}Name: Wavelength Class: Reiryoku/Teleportation Tier: I/III Type: Teleportation Range: up to 100m Description: The user breaks down into energy waves and teleports from one point to another within a 100m all around. The technique is instant up to 50m anything after requires concentration about half a post. At tier III the user can carry up to three people with him though this requires OOC permission
Grindal watched as the towering figure began to change. It somehow managed to shift even more so, forming a head along with crafting numerous tendrils equipped with their own mouth filled with jagged teeth. It was disturbing to say the least. The situation certainly wasn't helped as the choir of unfortunate souls were met with its mercy. Men, women, children: it didn't matter what they were or how long they had been upon this earth as it devoured every possible one in sight. But as observing as the man was, he noticed that its method of consumption was not planned. It was as if it wasn't guided and they moved in chaotic order to swipe and destroy everything in its path. Though, to be quite fair, the Quincy could not tell whether or not this lack of intelligence was in or against their favor.
He was so focused on this analysis that the man wasn't even aware of the incoming beam of energy that came directly at their location as it slashed its way over the ruminants of the city scape. Luckily, the kid at his side responded justly. Blinking as he grabbed onto him, he was truly surprised as the scenery changed. He knew that sensation all to well. Looks like he wasn't the only one who could teleport in this area. "Thanks kid," he said as he shook his limbs a bit to limber himself up. It was time to stay on alert constantly. Honestly, he wasn't quite sure whether or not he could even survive a hit that powerful.
When the boy mentioned something that hovered quite a bit aways, Grin's eyes squinted as he tried to see what he was talking about. It did look like there were two figures hovering there midair. What where they? Shinigami? Whatever they were, he just hoped they had a plan or at least some information about just what the hell was going on.
The individuals seemingly were able to defend themselves against the onslaught, either dodging, or even parrying the attacks. With another mighty roar, the barrage would stop all together, however, something else would take its place; the spirits that spawned from the base would be seen climbing the walls of damaged buildings launching themselves to not only the pair of shinigami, but the pair of humans as well.
The sharpness of the white haired shinigami made the claws of the demons sharper, the quick movement of the human gave the spirits a boost of speed. And finally, the transformation of the other shinigami gave the spirits wings, allowing them to fly freely. All were connected, all were one. Flying over the roofs, a few spirits began to swan dive at the direction of the two groups at high speeds at a velocity that would directly impact and easily devastate the level if they are not stopped before reaching them. It seemed that there were a few spirits soaring rapidly over them, claws at the ready.
They would quickly learn that these new set of spirits were connected to the tower, a beacon of information, a hive mind for the spirits. This was the importance of the towers, to control the dangai spirits and provide them with real time information and quickly allowing them to mimic abilities seen almost immediately. The more that the spirits see, the more that they would be able to do. The question will soon become if they should continue using their abilities to try to defeat the spirits and the tower... or no abilities at all.
Each structure has a central brain in which it commands the soldiers around it, they are connected to the main Hivemind within the Dangai World, however, they can act individually to allow the central Hivemind to focus within its own territory. With that being said, the soldiers these towers control are a much weaker variety, but still much stronger than the average human and soul.
Memory Bank
As the name implies, the towers hold a memory of every single encounter it has previously had, as well as stores new information. Each tower holds a percentage of the Central Hiveminds power and memory.
Combat Prowess
The towers were built by the particles and collective data from the first wave of soldiers, allowing them to gather in strength and build upon the powers it has observed. Not only do they possess the knowledge of all that they have witnessed, but has also developed its own set of powers with its own set of rules.

The initial burst of reiatsu as Fuurinji uttered bankai was hard to ignore. It was clear that she had ascended to a new level of power and that by some means she had already, and quickly achieved her Bankai status. Although Toshiro had many questions for Fuurinji, right now was not the time to be addressing them, they were amidst combat and it seemed that the tower was changing its strategy already. An ungodly roar rang out from the tower as the pulses of energy subsided, however unlike most battles this was only the beginning as the tower seemingly adjusted to them and devised a new plan.
Now emerging from the tower were an array of odd looking creatures, presumably the beasts or creatures whatever they might be that were noted in their Intel. However, nowhere in their Intel had they been described as being able to fly or even have wings. This certainly was a surprise to the captain adding yet another element to the fight, something he hoped would not have become more complicated than it already seemed to be.
The creatures seemed to separate into two distinct groups as they made their advance, Toshiro could easier distinguish the two reiatsu signatures now, and even see them from a ways away on top of the nearby rooftops, two individuals, it could only be assumed they weren’t ordinary humans, not making it this close without having already been killed or absorbed or whatever the tower might be doing. However again, this was not the time to analyze such a thing, there would be plenty of time later assuming they all lived through this.
The creatures came down in a dive bomb like manner now towards the two Shinigami. With a swing of his blade the captain shouted, “Sit upon the frozen heavens. Woven Ice Wall.”
Suddenly a wall of ice would form in front of Toshiro and Fuurinji as a protective layer from the seemingly suicidal creatures.
“I’ve got the defense. Take the offense.” Toshiro would say directed at Fuurinji, hoping she was prepared to act on his word.
